Kim believes artists should paint what they know and love. She grew up on a farm in south-central Kansas near the Flint Hills, so she naturally gravitates toward the landscape. She uses outdoor studies and photographic material as a starting point, and then focuses on using light and color to convey the emotional reaction she has to her subject. Kim is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and continues to collect prestigious national awards. |
