About the ArtistAbout the Artists:

Sebraw In John Sabraw’s paintings, almost no trace of brushwork can be detected.  With his pursuit to reach the “real,” Sabraw brings the viewer to rest in a place of mystery.  Mr. Sabraw describes his work as “the art of wondering”. As studies in detail, the paintings tell a story of the possibility beyond the realness of what is seen.

Sheesley

Joel Sheesley’s new paintings create a puzzle for the mind.  In Sheesley’s work we see ourselves and “more” of ourselves.  His art is art of place.  His work unlocks us from our present and connects us to roots.  Each painting acts as both a question and a mirror for the viewer.  The paintings take us from a geographical place to personal emotional experience.

James Winn

James Winn’s works could be described as “grace in scenes”.  Winn’s work combines climate, land texture, and season into a Midwestern symphony of landscape.  The land yields its beauty to our senses and the viewer is drawn in.  The large pieces of work help viewers realize the “realness” of the landscape, something forgotten on daily commutes.

Hunt

Susan Hunt-Wulkowicz rich life reflects her rich art.  Intimacy of detail is what viewers will experience with Hunt-Wulkowicz hand-colored etching and lithograph prints.  Her views are big but also intimate, bringing the viewer home.  Her prints are like books taking the viewer from panoramic scene to small details of the character of the land.

It is with intense realism or quiddity that this body of art transports the viewer from the outside in.  In our world replete with virtual realities, it is a relief to experience art that reflects back to us realness and true forms of beauty.
